How it handles plumbing calls

Built around how plumbing calls actually go.

It's trained on your business, not general information: your services, the towns you cover, your hours and how you like jobs booked.

  • Leaks get stopped first

When water is running, it walks the caller through closing the fixture valve or the main shutoff, using steps you approve, then sends the call to your on-call plumber.

  • Water heaters sorted out on the call

It asks whether the heater is gas or electric, roughly how old it is, and whether it's leaking or just not making hot water, so you know what you're walking into.

  • Estimates and installs booked

For remodels, fixture installs and water heater replacements, it gets what the caller wants done and books an estimate visit in a slot you've opened.

Founding members

A few founding spots in each county.

We open Hired Line one county at a time across Utah and southern Idaho. Founding members pay the standard price and keep two things later companies won't get: a rate locked for as long as they stay, and a monthly call review where we tune how their line answers.

Once a county's founding spots are taken, they're gone.

Can it help a caller shut off the water?

Yes. It can walk them through closing the valve under a fixture or the main shutoff, using steps you approve. It doesn't give repair advice beyond what you set.

Who gets emergency calls at night?

Whoever you choose. A burst pipe or a sewer backup can go straight to your cell or your on-call plumber, be texted to you as urgent, or go first on your callback list.

Will it promise an arrival time?

Only in slots you've opened. If a caller wants a time you haven't opened, it takes the details and tells them you'll confirm.

Does it work for drain cleaning companies?

Yes. It handles clogged drains, sewer line backups and camera inspections the same way, with the questions and rules you set for your shop.

Do I need to change my phone number?

No. You keep your number and your phone. You turn on call forwarding with your carrier, for when you don't answer or for after hours, and we walk you through it.
